Our Mission

The Trades Institute exists to fill an evergrowing gap in the trades industry by educating, empowering, and advocating for students, employers and their employees through dynamic hands-on training, upskilling courses and supportive services in order to help individuals not only secure a job, but to attain and sustain a career.

Our Purpose

To transform fair chance peoples' lives through meaningful jobs and employer development.

Our Solution

Fair Chance Community: Bootcamps

Short-term, intensive educational courses designed to provide practical skills in order to kickstart a new career in the trades, emphasizing hands-on experience and real-world application.

Second Chance Employers: Upskilling

Customized technical training, professional development, and leadership programs tailored to meet the needs of employers and their staff, along with additional supportive services.

At-Risk Youth: Alternative Hands-on Programming

Hands-on, school-based education that exposes and trains at-risk youth, encouraging them to consider pursuing a career in the trades after graduation.

A history of criminal activity can be a major obstacle in securing employment, housing, and other essential services.

Support System Barriers

Without a strong support system of family, friends, or mentors, individuals may struggle to navigate life’s challenges.

Basic Need Barriers

Unstable or no supportive housing, transportation issues, and food challenged can significantly limit someone’s success.
